Almost here...

Turbofire should be here today.

I'm very excited about starting this program. I've yet to take my before pics, so tonight I will have to do that and take all my measurements.

I'm making a healthy dinner tonight, with a sour cream bunt cake I had planned to make over the weekend, but it didn't happen. From here on out I've made a conscience decision to just be more AWARE of what goes into my body; and my family's. Marcus has had two Sprites since his surgery! I'm proud of him and hope to keep it up. We've been making him soda from our soda stream, but I still want him to get un addicted to soda. Period! I try to equate it to smoking or any other drug. I know it's hard for him.  But dang, he's twelve! Young enough that it's my fault!

Poor Marcus has had over a 103 temperature since yesterday, too. Ugh.

Stay tuned for tomorrow!! I can't wait to get up super early to exercise! - did I really just write that?

  1. Sodas are a tough habit to break. First, there's getting used to drinking something that is less intensely flavored, but then there's breaking the sugar habit.

Instead of soda, would M like pure juice mixed with fizzy water? Yes, there's sugar in there, but the sugars aren't as bad as what's in sodas, plus cutting the juice with sparkling water brings down the overall amount of sugar ingested.

  2. That's a great idea Jen. I have the fruit flavors that you can add to carbonated water for the Soda Stream. I am happy with that as there is no High Fructose Corn Syrup in their products. The sugar is about a third of regular sodas too. But I could just cut apple juice into the water too. I didn't think about that!
    Thanks!!
